The International association of thermoenergetic companies (IATEC) is a non-profit-making, non-governmental organisation. The headquarters of IATEC is in Kiev, Ukraine. Ukrainian, Russian, Slovak and Swedish enterprises and organisations are the members of IATEC (in total 138).

Among the members of IATEC there are: Vaillant Group Ukraine (manufacture and sale of the heating equipment of Protherm and Saunier Duval), the company Petrokraft AB (manufacturer of burners and automation systems Petro), the company Elteco (manufacturer of co-generation units Elteco), companies Krug-Akvaterm and Sitek  (manufacturers of plastic, metal-plastic pipes and stopcocks Rehau) and others.

Over the recent period, company members of IATEC in Ukraine alone have carried out work on the repair and reconstruction of boiler rooms and thermoenergetic systems in more than 2200 constructions.

 The activity of IATEC finds support from the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Management, Gosstroj, the Committee of the Supreme Council of Ukraine in Matters of Engineering, Transport, Housing and Communal Management and Communications. The association is a member of the Public Board of Experts in Legislative Matters  of the Supreme Council of Ukraine, associated member of GCI-UICP. IATEK actively cooperates with the Association of Cities and Municipalities of Ukraine, the Association of Donbass Mining Towns, the Association of Gas Market Enterprises, the Ukrainian Energy Protection Association and many others.

• The association gives great attention to the passing on of advanced experience in the field of energy effectiveness and energy savings. During 2004-2006, more than 80 scientific-practical conferences and seminars took place under the aegis of IATEC in Ukraine.

As a result of membership in IATEC enterprises and organisations have the possibility:

• to protect their rights and present their interests at all levels

• to gain orders for carrying out work and providing services in the context of the  programes IATEC

•  to participate in state and regional programmes for energy saving developed and  submitted by the association

•  to participate in the preparation of new draft legislation and amendments to existing  legislation
•  to gain information and participate, with the support of the association, in state and   private tenders called under the aegis of IATEC
• to utilise the consultation service: technical, legal, consultancy etc.  to participate in mutual and collective purchases of goods and services
• to participate in exhibitions, to present their enterprises at the joint stands of IATEC
• to utilise the information database of the association
• to share experience and information amongst  companies and organisations which are    members of IATEC
• to gain additional advertising and PR support for their activities
•  to increase the level of qualification of their employees via participation at schooling    sessions, seminars and training sessions organised by IATEC
• to promote their production on domestic and foreign markets
